Chemo is done for now!!!

Last Day of chemo and I might say it was the worst and it wasn't all that bad when I say the worst!!! Tomorrow they start me a on nueprgen (sp?) but it stimulates the white cells to grow back and hopefully just the healthy ones!! Weird things like my sense of smell has changed and everything I smell makes me sick so hopefully this ends for a bit now that the first round of chemo is done!!! I heard about my care package and my cousin is bringing it tomorrow!!! SO thanks to the Schneider's you guys are amazing and I'm sure I will have no boredom for a bit!!! So there is the update for today!!!! Keep praying XOXO 

Mornings are a bit rough..

No new updates I'm really just waiting on this last bag of chemo that will last 24 then this weekend my cells will hit rock bottom and the risk for infection is great...  so no visitors is probably how its going to go..... just to be on the safe side........

Sandy I will take a Bonus Cousin for sure!! And that's a pretty good way to look at it!!!

Aunt Jill I'm at St. Joesph's the hospital right behind my house! So we are all super close!

Sorry its been a few days

Still on Chemo of course its been rough the last few days..... I'm still trying to get in a routine and all that good stuff!!! Mornings are rough not too much nausea to report a little today but they come take care of it right away! The last few nights I haven't slept much but you all know me 

I can sleep all day and they are pretty good at letting me!!! No new news from the Dr's just that everything seems to be going right as planned!!! Had some platelet and blood transfusions yesterday. My chest x-ray seems to be clearing up so it might not have ever been phenomena in the first place just an over flow of leukemia  something we wont know more about until the end it could be the chemo or it could be the antibiotics I'm on....... Aunt Mary miss you tons Winslow is taking good care of me giving me the I need to eat and walk too!!! Everyone else I will see you soon !!! Keep praying!!! XO

DAY 3 ON CHEMO

Well we will start from last night where my amazing cousin gave my mom the night off so she could get a good night rest in her own bed!! Today I had no sickness at all!!!! YAY !!!! Did some laps around the cancer unit.. hung out with visitors. and now Miller is once again giving my mom a night off and as hard it as it is on her and I ,I know she needs to the rest at home with my dad!! So I am done with one of the chemo meds and cross your finger I'm done done with it!!!! oh and no fevers for three days!!!! I miss you Aunt Mary you made mine and my parents life so much easier and comforting I cant thank you enough and see you soon enough!!!!!   

SO nothing two new  but I'll keep you posted!!!

Chemo Days 1&2

Day 1 went really well a lil nausea  in the morning and right before bed but other than that no real side affects!!! I had a chest cat scan and they sent me to a infectious Dr. that is now on my team of Dr's to watch for any infections. I haven't had a fever in almost 48 hours thank goodness because that's when I feel the worst and my last one 102.6 so that's a lil higher than they want.

Day two we got great great news!! the cure rate as of yesterday was 60-70%. My Dr. who is amazing talked to some Dr's at the children's hospital since I still go to my pediatrician I know I know but he is just so great that its hard to leave him too!! He shared my case and they up ed the cure rate to 85-90%!!!!!  So very EXCITING!!! TO day the chemo got to me and I was sick not too Bad but bad enough so we are working around with the meds on when to take them as I eat!! SO 

Dinner went well!!! My Dr wont be in this weekend.. So I'm not to sure how much more info ill have other than how I am feeling!!!! So keep the thoughts and prayers coming!!! Love you all!!!!

So that's it that's the final diagnosis and I'm getting hooked up to my first batch of chemo any second! How it goes is I'm getting two different meds which are too crazy to spell but its the standard they give you anywhere I get them well one for seven days and the second for three of the 7 days.... then I wait in here for about 3 weeks to build up all the cells they have knocked out of me and go home for a week. I then come back for my second round which is just the 7 day meds wait three weeks and go home for a week and do that one last time! I'm in a great place my doctor is wonderful!! I have already had some blood transfusions and platelet transfusions which really went well!! They will know alot after this first week when my cells start growing back if they are growing back healthy!!! Oh and you know how much I love Britney Spears Im gonna be bald like her for awhile and even more exciting i get a fresh start with my eyebrows!!!! So wish me luck today!!!

So heres how it went and it went fast!!!

OK so ill give you a quick lil side note on how this all started.....I got super sick fever all that good stuff about three weeks ago, went to the Dr. he diagnosed me with walking pneumonia and told me I could be down and out for a couple and so I called my work and as wonderful as they are they figured everything out and covered for me. So I was going back to the Dr. every other days to moniter the fevers and see if anything was improving.... nothing was so he ordered so xrays and blood work (which in my 24 years of life had never had blood taken)(Monday April 20Th 2009) So the Dr. called me early Monday morning and said my blood work came back abnormal that instead of going back to the Dr's office that I should go the emergency room so I called my mom told her to come get me I need more work done and it would be faster with better results if it was through the ER. So as far as I knew I was going in with pneumonia and possibly staying for a few days on how bad it had become and a few short hours later the Er Dr. dropped a bomb that will forever change mine, my families and friends lives....I have acute leukemia ...... I had bone marrow taken right away and here's where the waiting begins. We are waiting for one last test result and I start massive Chemo the second the results are in..... I'm super positive I have an amazing family my Mom never leaves my side the best friends any girl could ask for!!! I feel really really good I have no symptoms and other than this damn pneumonia I feel good!!! So I'm making this blog to keep everyone updated on how things are going...I will be in and out of the hospital for then next 4 months mostly in for about three weeks at a time , but its much easier to update this than text and call a million people a day!!! So I need all the prayers and positive thoughts you guys have!!!
