Back in Jail is what I call it!

So I last left off on I was going to Cedars and was hoping to hear about the donors and we did!! I had 9 potential matches and 4 of them had sent the blood work right and the other 5 have appts to get their blood work done! This is good because most people back out here more than anywhere else thru the process. Then once Cedars gets the blood it takes about 10 days to get the results so while I was there I was told my first match came in and it was a 9/10 match and if that was the worst were were gonna get the is still great... we would all love a 10/10 tho! That is as close to a perfect match unless it came from my brother... the only difference is in the DNA... Then Monday my awesome nurse emailed and I had a 10/10 match come in YAY YAY YAY!!! She said she are still going to accept the rest of the matches coming in and see if maybe we can get someone closer to your age or same blood type... So now we need prayers that this 10 match will go thru with it and the transplant starts mid March.

I had My Biopsy a week ago today went good I think hes getting a little stingy on the drugs cause I'm starting to feel it again.... not nearly as bad as with no drugs but I would rather feel nothing so were gonna chat about the dose before my next round :-)

I checked back into St. Joe's early yesterday morning to start chemo only to find out there is a shortage.... really a shortage???? We had actually heard on the news about it but never thought it would effect me.... until my morning nurse came in and said they had enough for 1 person to have one day!! I needed 3 days!!! So she called my Dr who can get what he wants and fast... they called all the other local hospitals to borrow and they all said they could not spare any either. ugh the next shipment comes in mid Feb. that doesn't work for me cause I could risk falling out of remission! So the hospital pharmacy buyer got a hold of one of the manufactures and got me just enough for the 3 day!!! YAY so I started this morning! We decided to go no picc line I think 7 of them was much more than a try and we are going to do a central line for the transplant and those still clot so my Dr wants me to wait and get it there so it will last longer.. so were trying good ole IVs hahaha we got lucky on the first one but anyone who knows me or has tried to give me and iv knows its not an easy task so with chemo shrinking up my veins a picc line just might get thrown into the mix here in a couple days lol!!!
